Ferrari Hypersail Yacht

What happens when Ferrari decides to build a sailing yacht?

June 2025

You'd expect Ferrari's next breakthrough to have four wheels and a screaming V12. Instead, the Italian legends have just unveiled something that'll blow your mind: a 100-foot sailing yacht that literally flies above the water.

The Hypersail will be the largest fully foiling monohull ever built and the world's first 100-foot yacht with a foil on the keel. And here's the kicker - it runs on 100% renewable energy. No engines, no fuel, no emissions.

Ferrari Chairman John Elkann says it perfectly: "Hypersail is a new challenge that pushes us to go beyond our boundaries and expand our technological horizons."

The genius behind the sailing is Giovanni Soldini, working with French naval architect Guillaume Verdier. They've created something that uses flight control technology directly adapted from Ferrari's F80 supercar, with software adjusting the foils hundreds of times per second.

"Ferrari's contribution is driving the development of onboard control technology that has never been seen before," Soldini explains.

The reality check? This is a one-off prototype launching in 2026, not something you can buy. But the Robb Report has more details on this incredible engineering feat if you want to dive deeper.

The future of marine innovation just got a serious Ferrari upgrade!
